State dignitaries and the local community joined the owners and staff of the Eastern Slope Inn to cut the ribbon on a new historical display commemorating the hotel's 100 year anniversary. NORTH Conway, NH -- July 13, 2026 -- The Eastern Slope Inn celebrated a century of hospitality Monday morning with a ribbon cutting ceremony and the public unveiling of a new history exhibit in the inn's lobby at 2760 White Mountain Highway in North Conway.

Guests and members of the general public gathered at 10:00 a.m. to witness the debut of ten framed displays forming a timeline of the shared history of North Conway and the Eastern Slope Inn -- tracing the story of the country's #1 Ski Town and the historic resort at its center.

"The Eastern Slope Inn has always been woven into the fabric of this community, and that's only possible because of the generations of leaders who committed to preserving it as an iconic destination for visitors to the Valley," said Paul Durfee, Marketing Director, Eastern Slope Inn, and President, Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce. "We're also deeply grateful to Tom Eastman, Bob Kantack, Jeff Leich, and Bob Cottrell, whose work documenting the inn's history made this exhibit possible."

NH State Travel & Tourism Director Michelle Cruz and Executive Councilor Joe Kenney were among those in attendance.

The exhibit is open to the public and on ongoing display in the Eastern Slope Inn lobby. It will remain in its current location until the inn undergoes a planned renovation in 2027.
