Festive Fall Fun Arrives at Living Shores Aquarium
New Hampshire's Only Aquarium Offers Festive Fall Experiences for All Ages
Glen, NH (September 25, 2026) – Living Shores Aquarium is rolling out a full lineup of seasonal events and entertainment this fall., including free events for all ages plus after-hours, adults-only exclusive events. Details include:
Fall Flavors: Autumn arrives at Living Shores with a new lineup of festive eats. Visitors with a sweet tooth can enjoy apple crisp and pumpkin spice mini donuts, and those looking for more savory flavors can opt for cozy broccoli cheddar soup or loaded chili in a bread bowl. These new fall bites plus a full regular menu of pizzas, salads, sandwiches and more are available in the Bistro at Living Shores.
Diving Deeper (Sept. 25 & Oct. 16): Joe Lentini, a professional mountain guide with decades of mountaineering experience, will lead viewers through a free screening of the 2024 short documentary 109° Below on Sept. 25. Joe will discuss the realities of extreme mountain environments and the lessons learned from a lifetime of climbing. On Oct. 16, visitors are invited for a free screening of the 2017 documentary Chasing Coral. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. at the Bistro, guests can enjoy a full menu, cocktails, beer, and wine on both evenings.
Mermaids in the Mountains (Oct. 9 – 12): A magical mermaid makes her way to Living Shores. Families are invited to meet the mermaid “Misty of the Mountains”, pose for photos with her, and take part in a free and fun mermaid themed scavenger hunt and turn in your completed card for a prize.
Pollywog Pals (Oct. 12): Children ages three through five are invited to enjoy a spider themed story time with an interactive craft to take home, plus see some of Living Shores’ resident spiders up close beginning at 11:15 a.m.
Night at the Aquarium (Oct. 31): Back by popular demand, with a spooky twist. NightMARE at the Aquarium takes place on Halloween night from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. for guests ages 21 and up. Highlights of the evening include specialty animal spotlights lead by the education and animal care teams with a focus on nocturnal and creepy crawly creatures, spooky themed cocktails to stroll and sip, and even free readings from Stacey the Spirit Medium Yogi.
“Fall is such a beautiful time in the White Mountains,” said Chris Kearsing, General Manager. “We are thrilled that our guests will be able to enjoy a variety of fall fun and flavors during their visit to the aquarium.”
Located next-door to Story Land Theme Park, Living Shores is an interactive educational venue that has been delighting guests from the White Mountains and beyond since 2019. The aquarium is home to alligators, stingrays, turtles, sharks, tropical fish, native species and more. Living Shores Aquarium hosts daily talks at various exhibits with its education ambassadors and animal care team to help to inform visitors of all ages of sea life living around the world.
